Nutrition program indicators depend heavily on admission criteria, discharge definitions, follow-up systems, and whether outcomes are known. Always separate recovered, defaulted, died, transferred, and unknown outcomes.

Data Quality Checks

Verify anthropometry: Measurement error can change admission and discharge status.

Review unknown outcomes: High unknown outcomes weaken interpretation of recovery and default rates.

Check age eligibility: Supplementation and feeding indicators require accurate age classification.
